Valloire Discover the ski resort

Valloire is a commune in the Savoie department, located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It stands out for its unique geographical location, being the southernmost commune in Savoie.

This mountain village, made up of 17 hamlets, is a popular destination for both winter sports and summer activities. Valloire is situated at the heart of the Maurienne valley, not far from the French-Italian border, and lies on the famous "Route des Grandes Alpes," which connects Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean. Between the Télégraphe pass and the legendary Galibier pass, the setting is exceptional.

At an altitude of 1,405 meters, at the foot of the church, Valloire extends over the Valloirette watershed, a river that flows south to north, all the way to Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne.

Ideally located, the resort is 200 km from Lyon, 100 km from Chambéry, 130 km from Grenoble, 140 km from Turin, and 700 km from Paris, providing easy and quick access from many major cities.

Valloire is one of the most centrally located resorts in the French Alps. Ideally situated on the southern border of the Northern Alps and to the north of the Southern Alps, it lies equidistant from the East and the West.
Although geographically southern, Valloire’s climate is primarily influenced by that of Savoie, rather than the Hautes-Alpes.
