I am registering for: Snowman or Baby Ski
The Kindergarten
For a child’s very first time, and especially for the youngest ones (aged 2½ to 4½), we strongly recommend starting with a simple introductory session, or opting for “Baby Ski”!
We believe it is better to choose a trial session rather than committing to a full week right away.
When you book this initial session (ideally on a Sunday), we automatically hold a spot for your child for the subsequent days (up to Friday). If the session goes well and your child is keen to continue, simply stop by the office right afterwards to extend the lessons through Friday; we will deduct the cost of the introductory session from the price of the weekly course.
This saves you from committing to the whole week without knowing if your little one will enjoy skiing.
The Souris Verte will be the most suitable level.
For registration: Souris Bleue will be the most suitable option. I am starting my week at the kindergarten; I will head to the slopes as soon as I am able.
Group Lessons for Children
Our classes are limited to 5–8 children per group for the kindergarten and 8–10 participants for group lessons. To ensure classes run smoothly, it is essential to enroll students at the correct level. Please consult the medals and levels before confirming your registration.
I’ll choose the Cristal level this winter if:
I am between 7 and 12 years old / (If I am under 7, I’ll sign up for the children’s ski garden)
I sign up for Cristal this winter if:
I can ski straight and stop using the snowplough, and I can use a small ski lift. If I have earned the Bronze Mouse (*Souris de Bronze*), I sign up for Cristal, even if I am under 7 years old.
The Bronze Crystal lessons are for me if:
I can slide facing down the slope with some speed, I turn using the snowplough, and I have mastered the stair-step climb.
I sign up for Silver Crystal if:
I can sideslip while traversing, I am comfortable on a blue run, and I am starting to ski on red runs. I link turns, using a sideslip at the end of each turn.
I should sign up for Cristal de Vermeil if:
I am starting to link parallel turns and can ski over bumps and dips while maintaining my balance. I finish my turns with a rounded skid. I am comfortable on a red run.
I sign up for the Cristal d’Or if:
I can link parallel turns and come to a controlled stop by sideslipping wherever I want. I can pick up speed while skiing straight (schussing) and have some basic knowledge of short-radius turns (godille). I ski on black runs.
I am preparing for the Cristal de Diamant if:
I can link advanced turns, I have mastered the *godille* (short-radius turns), and I am learning turning techniques for all snow conditions. I want to refine my technique in a slalom.
I’ll sign up for Freeski if:
I am over 12 years old and have been skiing for several years. I can link parallel turns and ski over bumps and dips while maintaining my balance. I am comfortable on red runs and ski on black runs. I have at least the “Cristal d’Or” level. I’m looking for thrills, want to play with the terrain, and have a blast in the powder. I want to try a new concept and discover freeskiing in a fun atmosphere—experiencing a different side of the mountain and its more extreme aspects. Freeride/Freestyle course.
